The Scottish Highland Dance Pumps Style Skye  is hand made on an arched last to give a great point and is perfect for narrow feet.

  • All our Pumps are carefully handcrafted at our factory in Fife, Scotland. Since each pump is made to order, please allow some time for us to work our magic as we create yours.
  • We’re happy to adjust any of our pump styles to suit your needs. However, these custom changes will make them unique to you, so we won’t be able to accept them as returns.
  • We recommend going only one full size down with your competition pumps. Choosing a smaller size than this could put extra pressure on the stitching and may cause the seams to split.

At Thistle Shoes, we take pride in handcrafting our highland dance pumps at our factory in Fife, Scotland. We are the only company in Scotland that still upholds this tradition.

Arched Last

   The Skye highland dance pumps are hand lasted on a slight arched last to help accentuate the point and hug the arch when dancing.

 

Front Seam With Loop

Crafted from premium two-piece leather, the Glenshee Scottish highland dance pumps feature a sleek central seam that provides a slimmer, more contoured fit in the toe area. Enhanced with supportive loops, these pumps offer both comfort and durability

 

 

 

 

4-Finger Lace System

The Skye highland dance pumps are designed with a 4-finger lace system to ensure a secure and snug fit, giving dancers confidence and support during their movements. However, for toddler sizes 10-13, the pumps have a 3-finger lace system instead. This is because a 4th finger would rise too high on the foot, making the fit less comfortable for smaller sizes. This thoughtful adjustment ensures that every dancer, regardless of age, gets the perfect fit for their needs.

Extra Eyelet At Ankle

We added an extra eyelet near the ankle to give better support and help the heel sit securely in the heel cup at the back of the pump. This design makes the fit more comfortable and keeps the pump in place while dancing.
